INTER-COUNTY ENERGY MEMBERS TO RECEIVE “SMART METERS”
DANVILLE, KY - Inter-County Energy’s power grid is about to get smarter. On Monday, April 5, 2010, the cooperative will begin installing new, innovative, “smart” meters at the homes of members across the 12-county service area.
This process will continue over the next 12-months as Inter-County Energy partners with Team STS from Frankfort, Kentucky to replace all existing meters with new, innovative meters that report readings and other important information back to the cooperative.
Team STS employees will be replacing existing meters with new “smart” meters on behalf of Inter-County Energy and will require access to the cooperative’s meter which is located on members’ property. All Team STS employees are required to carry proper ID and will be wearing a uniform displaying the Team STS logo. Logos on trucks will also identify Team STS representatives.
For more information about this project, contact your local Inter-County Energy office at 1-888-266-7322 or 236-4561. ________________________________________________________
