Established in 1951, Dermatology Associates of Kentucky is one of the oldest, largest, and most comprehensive dermatologic practices in the United States. Our eight board-certified Dermatologists and three Physician Assistants provide the safest and most advanced medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care available. Two of our physicians hold additional board certification in Internal Medicine, making them exceptionally qualified to care for patients with skin manifestations of internal disease.
In recent years, our physicians have been repeatedly elected to “Best Doctors in America,” by our medical colleagues. In the 2007-2008 voting, DAK physicians represented almost half of the fifteen Kentucky Dermatologists awarded this honor from Harvard University.
Our staff includes a Mohs micrographic surgical team, Dr. Anir Dhir and Victoria Faulconer, PA-C, trained in the latest and most accurate techniques of skin cancer surgery and facial reconstruction. We have performed over 30,000 Mohs procedures since 1987, with cure rates over 99%.
The director of our Dermatopathology Reference Laboratory, Dr. Fernando de Castro, trained at the Mayo Clinic and holds three board certifications in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Dermatological Immunology.
Several of our providers specialize in the latest and most effective cosmetic procedures through our BelleÂge Medispa. Our medispa includes four advanced lasers and the latest technology in intense pulsed light facial rejuvenation.
In addition to the office, lab, and medispa, our Fountain Plaza location – one of the largest free-standing dermatologic facilities in the United States – contains a fully-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center where you can receive state of the art surgical care in a comfortable and compassionate setting.
