We are delighted to have you inquire about Hanson Baptist Church. Nothing brings greater joy or has more eternal value than worshipping and serving our Lord Jesus Christ in His church. Our passion is for you to see Christ in our lives and come to know and enjoy the abundant life that comes through faith in Him.
Hanson is an elder led, evangelical church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
We are not enamored with trendy methods to entertain and attract bigger crowds, nor do we try to manipulate emotions or bait people with promises of personal miracles and ecstatic experiences. Our commitment is to faithfully and precisely proclaim the scripture and thereby experience the power of His Word. Therefore, the expository preaching of the Word of God is never relegated to a subordinate role in our services. In a society that applauds compromises and prefers tolerance over truth, we believe it is our duty to remain distinctively the church of Jesus Christ. Our difference from the world is what attracts people to Christ not our similarity with it.
As we endeavor to remain faithful to our calling and continue to experience God's blessing, we are committed to the following biblical instructions:
Maintain a high view of God, ever mindful that we exist for Him - He does not exist for us.
Maintain the divine purposes of the church, namely, to exalt the Savior, equip the saints, and evangelize sinners.
Maintain a commitment to the absolute authority, sufficiency, and inspiration of scripture.
Maintain a commitment to teach sound doctrine, allowing doctrinal precision to separate truth from error.
Maintain a commitment to personal holiness, avoiding spiritual and moral compromise by holding His Word in our hearts.
Maintain a high degree of readiness as we live in anticipation of our Lord's imminent return.
