Most of the patients who come into my Mulberry Street office have no clear idea of what we can do for them. A few have even been so upset by the condition of their teeth that they've stopped smiling. But once we show them what we've done for people with even worse oral problems, they begin to understand what's possible. That reaction is often the first smile we get. The second is when our work is finished and they see themselves in the mirror. The third smile is the biggest of all. That's the one that lasts a lifetime.
