Lab Work: We offer on site basic blood work, urinalysis and strep testing (including cultures). On site mono testing is also available, along with glucose.
We also have the ability to test for Influenza Types A and B. For send out labs we are using Quest Diagnostics.
Patient Records: For those interested in transferring to our practice, we encourage you to request copies of your children's records prior to your first appointment at our office. You can have them mailed to us, or pick them up yourself and bring them with you to the appointment. A form for this request is available to print out on the "Forms" page, or you can complete one at your previous doctor's office.
*We will ultimately be using electronic medical records, so once your child's records have been scanned in to our system, we can return the paper copies to you.
Donations: We welcome donations of diapers (any size or brand), baby wipes, and unused pacifiers to have on site for "emergencies." (Like when the diaper bag gets left in the car, or supplies run low at the end of a long day!) These items are not sampled, but we like to keep them on hand, just in case!
We also will gladly accept unopened cans of formula that we can pass along to other families whenever possible. Given the price of formula, we really hate for such to go to waste!
Children's movies on DVD (New or Used) are also very much appreciated.
We generally have staff available during the lunch hour to allow parents to pick up or drop off paperwork and prescriptions. If no one is at the front desk when you arrive, ring the bell located outside of the reception windows.

September, 2010 We now have both Flu Shots and the Flu Mist available for our patients and their family members. Remember, children must be at least 6 months old to receive the Flu shot.
To minimize wait times, we do ask that you call to make an appointment to get these vaccinations. Shot hours are listed in the middle column of this page, and include Saturdays.
The Expectant Parent page has been repaired! Sorry for any inconvenience!
July 10, 2010 Updated and Reformatted the FORMS Page. Changed file types to make printing easier. If you encounter problems, please let us know!
We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we strive to clear up problematic billing issues, some of which date back to 2007. Our new billing program, implemented Jan 2010, seems to be functioning well, but it doesn't help us to resolve problems prior to such! If you have questions about your bill, particularly if there is a discrepancy with your copy of an EOB, we encourage you to email us the details at: officemanager@louareapeds.com.
In fact, the recommendation is so new that the AAP has not yet updated their annual "CAR SEAT GUIDE."
