New Lighting for Trimble County High School

"Despite some nailbiting on the part of Principal Stirling “Buddy” Sampson Jr., improvements at Trimble County High School should be completed by the start of school Aug. 12.
Arrow Electric of Louisville completed installation of a new, state-of-the-art lighting system in the gymnasium, which also received a refurbished stage floor and main floor, which was sanded and repainted by hand. New tile and carpeting also was installed in the band room.
The company also spent the summer updating and expanding the school’s electrical capacity, which was tapped out after new computer labs were added last year, Sampson said.
“We’re taking an old school and making it as modern as possible,” Sampson said, adding that all the classrooms now can be fitted with SmartBoards and other educational technology.
