FAH Offers New Cutting-Edge Arthritis Treatment

Great news! Finchville Animal Hospital now offers a new stem cell procedure that can cure many types of arthritis in the animal's body and is an affordable alternative to drugs. It also has many other uses, such as treating kidney failure, liver problems, chronic skin conditions and even bladder incontinence. We believe it is the most revolutionary procedure we have ever had in medicine, period. Its the wave of the future in animal and human medicine and FAH is on the cutting edge of the process. The procedure requires a surgery to harvest fat from the patient and then a two-hour process proceeds to extract the stem cells from the fat and activate them. Within three hours, the animals own stem cells are replaced in the body in the problem areas and allowed to start the healing process. These cells are the masters of repair in your body. They can turn into almost any type of damaged tissue and rebuild the area all together. Best of all, it can be done in one day at the hospital! The entire procedure costs $1,800 to $2,000 per small animal and $2,000 to $2,500 per horse. Finchville Animal Hospital offers a full service veterinary hospital catering to small animal and equine care. Our office boasts a very knowledgeable, warm, and friendly staff with a clean and inviting environment. We offer separate rooms for cats and dogs, as well as a separate intensive care area for animals. We have state-of-the-art equipment, including digital ultrasound, radiography (including digital capabilities), endoscopy, blood machines and cryosurgery, as we are constantly updating our clinic. We offer a wide array of small animal services, such as vaccinations, dentistry, full surgery, medicine, and reproduction management. We take anesthesia very seriously and monitor each animal under anesthesia with full monitoring equipment, including blood pressure, EKG, oxygenation sensors and pulse checks. We feel this is essential to our client's peace of mind and do not charge an extra fee for animals that require anesthesia.
Equine reproduction and medicine is a specialty of Dr. White. She is adept at ultasound and palpation for reproduction on horses. We collect stallion semen and perform shipments. Dr. White performs embryo transfers and artificial insemination with frozen or cooled shipped semen. She works on more than 250 mares during each breeding season, and keeps very current on all reproduction concepts for this reason. Dr. White also performs castrations and other surgeries on horses, as well as general medicine and vaccinations.
Finchville Animal Hospital cares for more than 100 high performance horses. Lameness problems are also an issue we address, including but not limited to laminitis, joint injections, muscle issues, and hoof care. Our hospital utilizes boarding facilities at Dr. White's farm for breeding, if needed.
