Advanced Pain Medicine, PSC is a referral-based practice that works closely with the patients referring physician to coordinate an individualized treatment plan. The treatment plan of pain must be approached from a comprehensive perspective as chronic pain, in particular, has such a significant impact on many aspects of the patients life-work, daily routine, outside activities and hobbies, and psychological well-being.
We employ an interventional approach to pain management utilizing the latest technology to treat pain aggressively, but less invasively. We also believe strongly in the results of injective therapy rather than pharmacotherapy (narcotics) to treat pain. We understand that narcotic medication has its place in treating pain, but we utilize this method of treatment as a last resort. There can be serious, long-term effects on the dependence of narcotics and we strive to treat patients in a way that they can regain function physically and maintain normal psychological function.
We utilize a variety of treatment strategies in our practice, which include:
Nerve Blocks (diagnostic and therapeutic)
Ablative procedures (including Neurolytic agents, Radiofrequency, IDET, and neucleopasty)
Epidural and Intrathecal infusions (Morphine pump)
In addition, because we are an independent private practice we can offer quality care in a pleasant, comfortable environment, in a cost effective manner.
