National Adoption Month
November is National Adoption Month. The Abba Ministries has brochures on the Welcome Center to learn more about orphan care and how you can be involved. Not everyone is called to adopt, but we are ALL called to love orphans because Christ first loved us. Please prayerfully consider how you can support and love orphans and those who are called to adopt or foster. ~ Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
Winsome Widows will be meeting Saturday, November 13th at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall to make birthday bags for Regency Manor. Lunch at a local restaurant will follow.

The Hickory Grove Church Wide Christmas Celebration will be held on Sunday, December 12th. We will begin the evening at 6:00 p.m. with our choir presenting the cantata, The Glory of Christmas, Experience the Season. A free holiday dinner will follow in the Family Life Center. The dinner is free, but we do need you to pick up a ticket so we can keep an accurate count for the caterer. You can pick those up in church offices during the week or at the Welcome Center on Sundays. Tickets will be available Sunday, November 14th through Wednesday, December 8th. Since the dinner is free, we are lovingly asking that you give a donation to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in lieu of the price of dinner. Boxes will be setting on each table during dinner for your donations. If you do not plan on attending the dinner, but still want to give to the Lottie Moon Offering, envelopes will be available in the pews beginning Sunday, December 5th. You can place your envelopes in the offering plates each Sunday in December.
