Although I have other offices in Lexington and Shelbyville, my main office is in Louisville (see directions tab at left and down for how to get to any of my offices). It has been designed for your comfort, privacy, and convenience. I believe you'll especially like the following features of this office:
Just a two-minute drive from exit 17 off I-64 at Blankenbaker
A ground floor office with relaxing views, and windows that open for fresh air
Insurance statements done within a week, or on your way out
Daytime phone calls almost always returned within an hour
Like many other therapists in private practice, I have chosen to do my own clerical work, to simplify my life and keep my fees and overhead down. So call me anytime to set up an appointment directly, and I'll gladly answer any questions you may have. I believe you will find all three of my offices to be comfortable and convenient places for you to see me. All my offices are quiet and private, and I will hope to have the privilege of serving you and your loved ones at one of them in the future.
I also have a Shelbyville office that I use on Tuesdays. Here I rent space from my local church for thirty years, the First Christian Church of Shelbyville. (In 2006, I rejoined the church of my family and my youth, First Presbyterian. I am not on staff with First Christian, but I remain a friend of the church.) The church staff does not know who I see there, as the entrance is a private one at the rear of the church.
My newest office is in Lexington, where I work on Fridays. This office is in yet another setting, a charming old house downtown, where I am on staff at the Interfaith Counseling Center (see www.interfaithcounselingcenter.org). Here I enjoy wonderful fellowship with my colleagues, formally in case conferences, and informally just hanging around the center.

In 2007, my book Growing Your Love Life was published by BookSurge in Charleston, SC. This publisher is owned by Amazon.com, and the book can be ordered there. More about this:

Vital Balance in Single Adult Relationships
Only a person whos recently been dating can speak straight to the gut of the single reader. The gospel is presented here for the first time in the frank language of single adults out together on a Saturday night. The author speaks from his personal experience dating several women first as a young man, and then again after his divorce, which confirmed the practical value of these ideas in real life. Moreover, as a psychologist, he brings a complementary professional authority, from listening to the stories of fifteen hundred singles he has worked with, and thousands more married people looking back with some regret on their courtship.
The books central metaphor, its underlying assumption, and its main lesson are all new. Growing Your Love Lifes principal picture of romantic relationships compares them to fruit-bearing plants growing in careful ecological balance through their various seasons. The primary idea is that the flesh (ego) can be inspired to become not so much at war with the spirit as delighting in it, as the flesh is designed to reach its full liveliness only in balance with the spirits leadership. And the books main idea is good news indeed: it shows for the first time that physical affection can grow gradually throughout courtship when it is pegged to the couples growing levels of commitment and personal disclosure, so that all three progress in tandem, and reach a new high together on the wedding day.
What is the books message? The central metaphor and main idea are fresh, that love relationships are living creations inspired by God, and that their commitment, personal disclosure, and physical affection grow optimally in careful balance with each other. Unlike other books, it shows how expressing physical affection in this new way, without inhibiting or indulging it, helps not only to save sexual intercourse for marriage, but also to enrich and henhance it.
To whom is the book written? The target audience is single adults, and the counselors, pastors, and teachers who work with them.
What else is new here? My approach has been field-tested in my counseling of 1500 singles, my research with 800 people throughout North America, and my own dating experiences as a divorcee.
No previous book has been so friendly to both traditional values for premarital abstinence and the readers desire to enjoy life and preserve romance. Growing Your Love Lifes approach to petting builds self-control, and harmonizes Christian authors previously at odds on the subject.
What topics can you speak about? I can speak about single adult relationships, or a variety of other topics. A complete list of speaker topics can be found at the Services button.
As todays single adults yearn for freedom and self-fulfillment yet struggle to honor the conservative wisdom of their elders, this book and author bring a new message of practical hope for those in love, and those still looking for it.
