And just like that, Chloé has a new creative director. Today, December 7, Chloé's chief executive officer Riccardo Bellini announced that Gabriela Hearst will be taking the reins as its new creative director, effective immediately.
The New York-based, Uruguayan designer's new role as creative director comes on the heels of Natacha Ramsay-Levi's departure, announced just four days ago. Hearst launched her eponymous label in 2015, beloved for its cult-favorite Nina pouch bag and sustainable, minimalist aesthetic. She will help push Chloé towards a socially and environmentally-conscious future and "be a positive force in further evolving and expanding our founder’s original vision of meaningful and powerful femininity," Bellini says.
